This page contains information about how you can order commissions. Please click on the subpage links for specifics on knitting and art commissions, or to visit the store. The knitting patterns vary greatly as to how long they take me. Pictures will be coming soon, so check back often! Art commissions also vary as to length. If it is a print of a previous picture, I can probably have it in the mail in a day or so. If it is original art you are describing to me, then it may take quite a bit longer. Prismacolor refers to alcohol-based markers in various shades of gray. I have only limited colors in Prismacolor, so color prints may be a problem. However, I am still building up a collection.
Here is how you order a commission.
- Email me at dragongirl_2009@sbcglobal.net with your request. If you are asking for a new piece of art (ie, not a print), please be as detailed as you can in your request. Asking for “a dragon” gives me quite a bit of free range. If it’s knitting, please leave your size (if necessary; for example, hats only come in one size).
- I email you with a price (if necessary), my address (for payment, after I get parental permission), and work out details for what you want (if it’s knitting or original art).
- You email me back with your address and snail-mail the 50% down payment. I require a 50% down payment so that even if you decide later you don’t want the commission, I receive something for my time.
- Once I receive your down payment, I start on the commission. Updates will be posted here, so please check back often.
- When your commission says “Complete! Awaiting payment” next to it, you send me the rest of the payment. Shipping cost is included in the final price.
- Once I receive the rest of the payment, I mail the commission to you.
- If you are ordering something from the store, you just leave me a comment saying which piece(s) you want. I’ll put a “Sold!” next to it. You snail-mail the entire payment, including shipping, and I’ll mail it to you.
- Re: payment – cash only. I don’t have checking or Paypal (yet), so don’t send me those.
That’s it! Please be patient; I do have a life other than this blog, and it tends to interfere with my plans. I will work on things as quickly as possible, but if I get too many commissions, I will put some on hiatus based on when I get them.
WHY I’M OKAY WITH GIVING OUT MY ADDRESS
This exchange of addresses is on a trust basis. That is, I’ll use yours only to send you your item, and you’ll use mine only to send me payment. After I finish your commission, I’ll probably never use your address again. I’ll keep it on file in case you order something else, but that’s it. If you violate this trust, I reserve the right to drop your commission without a refund and blacklist you from my commissions. (See above explanation of the down payment.) If you decide to try to stalk/harass me because you have my address, my parents and I are perfectly willing to take legal action against you to rectify the situation. Please don’t abuse this trust.
